Kyle Sandilands shocks with secret health scare: 'Am I going to die?'
"Am I going to die?"
Kyle Sandilands left listeners and his co-host Jackie 'O' Henderson shocked on Wednesday when he opened up about a secret health scare on the Kyle and Jackie O Show while speaking with Dr Sam Hay, AKA Dr Kiis.
The 52-year-old revealed he has been undergoing several tests on his blood and bone marrow, saying, "I've got a little something that no one here knows about. I've been doing a lot of blood tests, and now I've got to go and get another blood test, because whatever those numbers are that you doctors all talk about, I'm on the way up and if it gets up to 16 then I've got leukaemia!"
As Dr Sam exclaimed in surprise, Kyle added that he doesn't have leukaemia at this stage, adding he needs to have his bone marrow checked.
"What does that mean? Does that mean I'm knocking on heaven's door?" Kyle questioned Dr Sam, who asked the shock jock if he was referring to anything to do with his white cell count.
"I don't know, I don't understand," Kyle responded. "But he's very concerned, and I've got to get this special blood test."
"Am I going to die? Yes or no?" he questioned the doctor, who had started to describe to him how white cells work.

"No," the doctor calmly responded, adding that Kyle should still get the blood test to be safe.
"Can copious amounts of marijuana affect your numbers? Just asking for my friend, a friend of a friend that Jackie doesn't know," Kyle joked.
"I don't think so," Dr Sam said.
Jackie was concerned with the numbers and asked Dr Sam what Kyle can do to prevent any health issues.
Dr Sam responded by saying everyone should be active and get a decent amount of cardio activity in their week to keep their heart healthy.
"I feel like you should listen to that," Jackie told Kyle, who hit back, "He's never even seen me nude!"
"I highly doubt your doctor is saying, 'Don't walk, don't lift anything, just be a vegetable Kyle', is that what he wants?" Jackie said.
"Yes, that's what I want," Kyle responded.
"Kyle, I'm really worried about you," Dr Sam added. "But I'm here to work with you."
"All these doctors are the same, with same concerning voice. Jesus Christ," Kyle said before he began choking on some food, causing everyone to start laughing.
It comes after Kyle previously said in 2020 that his medical team is surprised he's still alive and well.
"I've got a team of doctors that look after me and they're all fascinated as to why I'm not dead. They are. They said that," he told Jackie O at the time.
Are you like their case study?" she questioned.
"Yeah, I've got a professor, right - and that's like better than a doctor - and then a team of doctors underneath him," he responded.
The professor apparently told the host, "I just don't get why you've got so much oomph. Really, you should have died ages ago."
"They've looked for everything," Kyle said. "He's almost convinced that something's not right, but it's impossible that me, I'm such a unit..."
Jackie then joked that he was a "reptilian" disguised as a human.
"I just need to lay in the sun for half and hour to recharge!" he jokingly responded.
Around the same time, he said he was attempting to eat healthier and had stopped drinking to excess and taking drugs.
