Kmart's $8 dupe of $150 slides sparks flurry of comments online
A pair of $8 Kmart slides has sparked a flurry of comments online after a curious shopper put a call out for some honest reviews.
Taking to a Kmart-themed Facebook group, the user asked if owners of the black 'double band slides' — which bear a resemblance to a $150+ style by a big-name brand — have experienced any problems while wearing them such as blisters.

They received a flood of responses, with many singing the cheap-and-cheerful slip-on shoes' praises.
"Comfiest shoes I’ve ever worn," wrote one.
"I've been wearing these 2 years. Bought lots of colours. Besides one other dressy sandal I don't wear any other shoes. They're great!" added another.
"These are all I wear, and they are so comfy. When you first wear them it's awkward but once you get used to them they are comfy as!" said a third.

But for every positive review came a less-than-favourable one, with some shoppers finding the footwear not so comfortable.
"I hated mine. So uncomfy," wrote one.
"So many blisters," said another.
A third recommended spending more on the big-brand alternative, which cost upward of $150.
"You're mad not to buy the real deal Birkenstocks! Worth every cent for the real ones," they wrote.
Another said it was a case of 'find what fits your feet' when it comes to shoes.
"I think it depends on the individual. Some people's feet are very sensitive. So I guess you've got to try it to know yourself," they advised.
