Kmart shoppers are proving that impressive home makeovers don’t have to break the bank, showcasing their stunning transformations using Kmart’s $29 stone decking tiles. Whether revamping pathways, patios, or other outdoor spaces, these budget-friendly tiles are turning ordinary areas into standout features.

Melissa Stoward, a Brisbane-based stylist and interior designer, revealed how these tiles can work wonders with a bit of creativity and effort. Mel, who used the tiles to transform a concrete path at her home, shared her experience with Yahoo Lifestyle, saying it was relatively straightforward.

“I found the process easy to do,” Mel explained. “Simply remove the plastic backing sheets, then the stones along the straight edge to create a more organic, natural look.”

She added that after laying the tiles onto the adhesive, you should fill in the gaps with the loose stones. “Blend them into the next sheet, then grout and seal,” she advised.

Mel noted that the project is somewhat time-consuming, so she recommends setting aside a day or two.

“Think of it like completing a giant jigsaw puzzle!” she said.

While the end results are show-stopping, Mel advises caution when considering where to use these tiles.

“I would probably avoid using them in wet areas like shower floors,” she explains. “The grout might be difficult to clean, and the stones could become slippery when wet.

"Once sealed, they should hold up to normal wear and tear, but I recommend re-sealing them annually to keep them protected and make cleaning easier. A quick pressure wash once a year should do the trick,” she concluded.

Social media is buzzing with excitement as Kmart fans share their DIY projects using the stone decking tiles.

The product has quickly become a go-to choice for transforming outdoor spaces, with users lauding their impressive results.

Comments like: “Wowzers! Love it”, “WOW WOW WOW!!! This is beautiful!!!” and “Stunning” were among the many enthusiastic responses celebrating these impressive transformations.
