Kmart shoppers rave over $20 dupe of $130 beloved Christmas item: 'So cute'

Christmas pyjamas are a must-have during the holiday season, especially if you can purchase a matching set with your partner, child or fur baby. While it’s often quite expensive to buy sleepwear you typically won’t wear all year round (but I won’t judge you if you do!), Kmart has released a line of Christmas pyjamas that’s both affordable and adorable.

The retail store recently dropped a selection of Christmas pyjamas ranging from $15 to $29 in a variety of fun designs for the whole family. These include classic patterns like gingerbread men and Santa heads, as well as The Grinch and Disney prints.

Considering Disney sells pyjama sets for around $50 on their official online store and Disney-themed sets from retailer Peter Alexander are available for around $129, it’s a pretty good deal!

One shopper (@staceygrant) took to TikTok this week to praise Kmart’s Lilo & Stitch-themed pyjamas, available for $15 for babies, $18 for kids, $22 for women and $25 for men. The sets include one pair of shorts and one top, each with a slightly different design, while the romper is emblazoned with various Stitch figures.

“Run to Kmart for these Christmas Stitch pyjamas,” she said. “Look how cute these Stitch pyjamas are for Christmas. They didn’t have any at my store, but check them out online. They are so stinking cute!”

'BRB adding to cart'

The video’s already racked up over 100,000 views, with plenty of followers taking to the comments to say the pyjamas are “so bloody cute”.

“Omggggg I’m so getting them,” one person wrote, while another added, “Just picked up the baby onesie for my little one”.

“Got the whole set! 6 month old, mum/dad 9 yr boy/7 yr old girl/4 year old girl,” someone else replied.

“l love Stitch so much,” a different user replied, followed by one fan who said, “BRB adding to cart”.

Another TikTok creator (@cammienz) posted a video this week of their sister buying the Christmas pyjamas because she “has a Stitch addiction”.

Kmart's 2024 Christmas collection divides shoppers

This comes shortly after Melbourne-based content creator Mark Polchleb (@markp_) shared a TikTok showcasing some of Kmart’s quirky home decor which seems to centre around one thing - Christmas pudding.

The range includes a $10 pudding doormat, a $14 pudding cushion, a $10 2-pack pudding serving dishes, a $5 pudding mug, and a $5 pudding soap dispenser.

“It’s never too early!” he wrote in the caption. “Already obsessed with this first look of Kmart Christmas decor. They are already nailing the cutesy, dopamine festive decor trend and I am here for it!”

Shoppers took to the comments to praise the new range and say they will be “running to Kmart”, with many describing the pudding doormat as the must-have item for Christmas this year.
