Kmart shoppers in mad rush for $15 dupe of $1285 handbag
Handbag fans say the budget retailer's designer knock-off looks 'crazy good'.
Kmart is serving up shoppers with yet another luxe-for-less dupe of a designer handbag, and this one is pretty convincing. The new Jana Trapeze Crossbody Bag has recently hit shelves as part of Kmart's spring style range, available in pink and black.
Fans have noticed that the bag looks strikingly similar to a handbag by French designer brand Jacquemus, called the Le Grand Bambino. Both feature a structured shape, magnetic flap closure, short handle, slim shoulder strap and are fully lined.
They also come in similar colours — but the price point is nowhere near the same. While the Jacquemus original will cost you $1,285, the Kmart version will set you back just $15.
Content creator @KmartInsider, who runs an Instagram account for Kmart fans and often posts about the store's fashion buys, was highly impressed by the look-alike bag. "The very chic $15 designer dupe from Kmart you will carry everywhere," she said of the must-have item.

Her fans agreed, with one saying the dupe is "crazy good" and others suggesting it's better than forking out over $1,000 on a designer piece. "Seriously, $1,285 for a bag. How ridiculous," one fan commented.
"And Kmart doesn't make you walk around giving them free advertising with the logo/brand emblazoned on the bag!" commented another.
The TikToker behind the account Jemma Explores also noticed the dupe on the Kmart website, saying that it's so convincing it's "probably going to sell out before it even hits the shelves".
It looks like she could be right, as the bag is selling out online and shoppers are yet to report seeing it in stores, despite several saying they're trying to track it down.
