Kmart shopper fires up over online checkout feature: 'Bizarre'

Kmart shoppers have posted their frustrations over a feature on the retailer's website.

With many people in lockdown all over Australia, most shoppers have turned online to get their shopping fix, with budget retailer Kmart being a popular spot for most.

However, in a TikTok video, one shopper has expressed her disappointment after adding a number of items to her cart.

The shopper added some baby’s clothes, mascara and shoes to her cart but after scrolling through the checkout page she soon realised a lot of the items were out of stock.

At the end of the page, it also said that delivery to her postcode was ‘TBC’.

“Kmart getting hopes up during lockdown for no reason,” she captioned the video.

“Why do you feel it’s necessary to get my hopes up” she wrote.

It’s not the first time the feature has been slammed online, with people taking to a popular Facebook page to air their annoyance.

“I don’t understand the point of putting your postcode in, if they don’t tell you it’s out of stock until you put it in the cart. No other store does that online. It’s just absolutely bizarre!” one person wrote.

“So annoying I just wanted to add 1 more thing and it tells me 2 things go out of stock,” another wrote.

“They really need to improve the site to show if there is stock for your postcode,” a shopper wrote.
