King Charles' olive branch to Harry and Meghan after Queen's death
King Charles III has reached out to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle publicly in his very first speech.
Addressing the nation on Friday evening from Buckingham Palace, the monarch used the appearance to unite the fractured family.
The Duchess of Sussex recently mentioned that Harry believed he had ‘lost his dad’ in an interview with Cut.
Reportedly, the King has left the door open for the couple to stay with him when they visit the UK - an invitation that they always decline.

In Charles’ speech, he announced that his wife Camilla now had the title of Queen Consort, before adding that Prince William and Kate would now be known as the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Although Harry and Meghan are no longer working royals, the King sent ‘love’ to the estranged pair.
“I want to also express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas,” he said.
“Queen Elizabeth was a life well lived; a promise with destiny kept and she is mourned most deeply in her passing. That promise of lifelong service I renew to you all today.”

Sad Meghan theory emerges
This comes after Meghan was notably absent from the late Queen’s side before her death.
Although Prince Harry is in the UK, he missed seeing Queen Elizabeth II one last time before she died, and photos taken of him in a car showed him with a sombre expression as he mourned the news.
He travelled separately to other family members, with Prince William arriving with Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, who took a flight to Aberdeen airport together.
Meghan Markle, however, was nowhere to be seen, and a royal expert claims the Duchess was not invited to join the family.
“But Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, was not, we understand, invited to join the family," expert Katie Nicholl told ET.
"She has said she will go to Balmoral another time. But I think it is quite significant that Prince Harry travelled to Balmoral on his own without his wife."
Kate Middleton did not travel to the Queen's bedside with Prince William as she was seen at Windsor picking her children up from school.
