KFC is putting the Tower Burger back on the menu, two years after the most requested burger in the restaurant's history was last seen by fans – and they couldn't be happier.
Excited foodies who heard about the cult burger's comeback have taken to social media to rejoice, with many expressing their devotion to the restaurant's beloved menu item.
"The biggest news of 2023. The Tower Burger is coming back to KFC tomorrow. The world is becoming a better place," a thrilled Twitter user announced. "Yes, it's back in all its glory. I wanted to share this moment with you all," a fan on Facebook shared.
'10 outta 10'
One devotee who already got her hands on a Tower Burger feared her fond memories of the legendary snack might have deceived her. "Now, Tower Burger is probably my favourite burger from memory and I'd been regretting its loss on the menu for years. I was worried maybe I built it up too much in my head and thought maybe it's not as great as I remembered it being," she confessed on Facebook. "I was wrong, it's exactly how I remember: greasy, filling and totally amazing. 10 outta 10."
For the uninitiated, KFC's Tower Burger features an Original Recipe fillet coated with the restaurant's signature 11 Secret Herbs and Spices, tangy tomato sauce, cheese, lettuce, mayo and a hash brown.
"After two years of fans around the country passionately calling for its return, we are so thrilled to bring the legendary Tower Burger back to our menus nationwide," KFC Australia's Sally Spriggs said in a statement. "For all those who have been patiently waiting to get their hands on this delicious burger again, we encourage you to get in quick as you never know when it'll make its next return to Aussie shores."
The Tower Burger is set to be on the menu until Monday 10 July.
