Kendall Jenner looks like she just stepped off the set of "A Complete Unknown"

On paper, Kendall Jenner’s street style has little to do with that of her little sister’s boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet. While she favours tailored lines and sleek silhouettes, he prefers skinny scarves and velour tracksuits. Still, those differences didn’t stop Jenner from seemingly taking a style cue from Chalamet’s latest movie, A Complete Unknown, a biopic about Bob Dylan living and making music in Sixties New York.

Taking a break from the catwalk during New York Fashion Week, Jenner was spotted walking around Greenwich Village on Monday in an outfit that could easily have been borrowed from the folk singer’s closet. This included a caramel suede button-up jacket, black straight-leg jeans, and black leather loafers from The Row.

She continued to channel the energy of the cultural decade by accessorising with a black tweed newsboy cap and a dark-brown leather messenger bag. For maximum Dylan effect (just look at all of Chalamet’s scarf-laden press tour looks for A Complete Unknown), she bundled up in an olive green scarf, which she blanketed around her neck and shoulders.

In his performance as Dylan, Chalamet frequently wore suede outerwear and newsboy caps. The film’s costume designer, Arianne Phillips, previously talked to Harper’s Bazaar US about what it took to bring the iconic singer’s wardrobe to life onscreen.

“You know, this time period—it’s such an awesome time for fashion and style, and it's a real reflection of change,” she said. “Like Dylan’s song says, ‘The times they are a-changin.’ And so I think for the design, [it was about] keeping it rooted in reality... You know, the centre of our story is about a man, a young artist who’s only 19 to 24, finding his voice and refusing to be boxed in by one thing.”
