Happy birthday to Kelly Rowland! The former Destiny's Child member turned 44 on Tuesday 11 February and she celebrated in a seriously iconic way – by posting a mini photoshoot of herself on Instagram. We thought the birthday girl was supposed to receive presents, but this post was clearly a gift to all her followers, us included.
Orchestrated in honour of the occasion, Kelly captioned the series of snaps, “Well here we are, 44😉” and her winking face emoji could not have been more appropriate when you see the pics in question. Why? Because in the photos, Kelly can be seen wearing, well, not much. Her outfit is best described as a teeny tiny underboob-baring thongkini.
The metallic turquoise strapless top is more like a thin piece of fabric wrapping around her torso as it barely contains her assets. It has been paired with coordinating high-waisted briefs, cut very cheeky on the bum as revealed by Kelly as she poses side-on in one image.
With a bow adorning both the top and the bottoms, Kelly is literally wrapped up like a present. We told you her post was a gift, or maybe she is the gift? Either way, she has totally redefined the term ‘birthday suit’.
Completing the look are metallic turquoise heeled court shoes worn on her feet and a diamond tennis bracelet and matching necklace. But the real show-stopping feature of her ensemble is the voluminous headdress. Donning a black skull cap, a black tulle net is fastened to the top containing dozens of giant inflated metallic teal (obvs) balloons.
Kelly's followers wasted no time in taking to the comment section to share birthday messages, gush about how incredible she looked and leave strings of fire emojis. Happy birthday, indeed!
