Rowland wore her dark tresses in a sleek bob, while her makeup consisted of winged eyeliner, brown eye shadow and a glossy nude lip.
In December, Rowland toasted director Tyler Perry at the Critics Choice Association’s annual Celebration of Black Cinema & Television, where she presented him with the Icon Award.
Rowland sported a sequined Nadine Merabi jumpsuit featuring a halter neckline, a knotted bodice and flared pant legs. The singer added on jeweled drop earrings, stacked bracelets and a diamond necklace.
“It is my true honor to present the Icon Award to the one and only, the hardest-working man that I know with the biggest heart,” Rowland said. “I love you, we love you, we honor you and respect you.”
Helsa is one of WWD’s emerging workwear brands to watch. Founder, supermodel Elsa Hosk spoke of her label’s capture of the Gen Z and Millennial demographic in a January interview. One of Revolve’s bestselling brands, Helsa specializes in basics that are elegant yet approachable.
“I think what really connects with Gen Z and Millennials is that Helsa offers something that feels thoughtful, elevated and accessible,” Hosk said via email.
“We’re all about creating a wardrobe that looks and feels high-end without being out of reach. What I love most is that the pieces are designed to last. It’s not about wearing something once for an event or a photo — it’s about building a wardrobe that you’ll keep coming back to,” she added.
