Yahoo Lifestyle Kelly Clarkson Admits She Might Be "In Trouble" After Her Visit to Paris
Paris has officially kicked off the 2024 Olympics. The Opening Ceremony was filled with dramatic musical moments, the Parade of Nations, highlights of France's history and culture, and so much rain.
The broadcast, hosted by Kelly Clarkson, Mike Tirico, and Peyton Manning, also shined a spotlight on the world of French fashion. One segment featured a look at Louis Vuitton workshop, showing off the impeccable craftsmanship of the 170-year-old luxury designer founded in Paris. Kelly could not contain her excitement about the brand.
As footage of the workshop aired, Kelly said, "Oh, my gosh. I could get in trouble in this store. I may or may not have this week. It's such an iconic logo."
Mike Tirico asked, "You can get in trouble, or you did?"
Kelly laughed and said, "Well...I might get a call from my business manager. Look, nobody does it like them."
That wasn't the only moment that got the Grammy winner's attention. She remarked on performances of songs like "Imagine" and said, "The symphony of sounds is breathtaking."
After the Olympic flame was lit, Celine Dion took the stage to perform, and the moment brought Kelly to tears. Celine has been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder. Kelly said, "I actually can't talk. That was really beautiful. If people don't know her story...it's just incredible what she's overcome. To have that moment—she's a vocal athlete."
She continued her thoughts at the end of the broadcast as she fought through tears. She said, "I've been inspired, I've been dancing, I was not ready for that ending...if you know anything about what she's been going through right now, I'm so sorry, I'm trying to hold it together. But that she got through that, that was incredible. In my field, she is the gold winner for vocal athletes."
Kelly did an incredible job announcing the Opening Ceremony for the first time. We're confident she deserves to treat herself with something special from Louis Vuitton!
