Jimmy Kimmel Fries Trump With A Burning Prison Reminder That’s Bound To Set Him Off

Jimmy Kimmel said Donald Trump’s planned trip to a McDonald’s to work the french fry machine could have some practical implications for the former president.

“This is a win-win for Trump,” Kimmel said Wednesday night. “Because working a deep-fryer will give him a new skill he could potentially put to use in the prison cafeteria.”

Kimmel and Trump have been feuding for years, but few things have set the former president off as much as Kimmel’s previous quip about prison.

That came in March when Kimmel was hosting the Academy Awards. Trump slammed Kimmel in a social media post during the show, and Kimmel read it aloud on live television in the middle of the broadcast.

That led to one of the event’s most viral moments of recent years.

“Thank you, President Trump. Thank you for watching. I’m surprised you’re still [up],” Kimmel said. “Isn’t it past your jail time?”

Trump has complained about the line ever since, and with alarming frequency. He brought it up again in a social media post just last week and at a rally in late September, just to name two recent examples.
