Katy Perry has taken us back to the late 00s after stepping out with fiancé Orlando Bloom at the Academy Museum Of Motion Pictures' opening gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, with her signature black hair.
The 36-year-old has been rocking blonde hair for some time now but decided to switch back to her signature look for the event.
Wearing a black leather sleeveless dress for the event, many fans on Twitter shared their excitement at seeing Katy with the look that made her famous.
The star has undergone numerous hair transformations since becoming famous in 2008 with her track 'I Kissed A Girl'. She's had all sorts of hair colours over the last 13 years including pink, blue, purple and more.
In 2017, however, she dyed her hair back to blonde, her natural hair colour, and has kept it that way since.
It's unknown if Katy's new dark locks are a wig or if she's dyed her hair, but fans loved the Amy Winehouse-style beehive and fringe.
"That hair is iconic," one fan Tweeted.
"Omg Katy Perry's hair is so 2007, I love it," another wrote.
"Me discovering that Katy Perry with black super long hair is all I want from life," a third said.
"There must be a scientific reason on why Katy Perry with dark hair is so powerful," another joked.
"Katy Perry has black hair again, something iconic is coming," someone else said.
"Katy Perry and black hair is like a toothpaste and a toothbrush, it belongs together," another fan joked.
Fans lose it over Katy Perry and Lady Gaga reunion
Fans were equally excited to see Katy and Lady Gaga reunited on the red carpet as the pair both rose to fame around the same time.
"It really feels like the 2010s again with Katy Perry and Lady Gaga together again," one fan wrote.
"POP EMERGENCY KATY PERRY AND LADY GAGA TOGETHER," another wrote.
"Seeing Katy Perry and Lady Gaga together feels so surreal... I want them to collab," someone else added.
"Lady Gaga and Katy Perry having a moment together — these two will remain as POP LEGENDS, no matter how the media & critics will find a way to pit them against each other," another said.
While the pair became famous around the same time and were friends, they were pitted against each other and had a short feud in 2018.
Court documents in a legal battle between singer Kesha and producer Dr Luke revealed text messages between Lady Gaga and Kesha where she made some not so nice comments.
Lady Gaga then took to Twitter to set the record straight, writing, "[Katy Perry] & I have grown up in the industry together. We’ve gone through both celebrations & differences w/ each other. These are old texts. We’ve matured, gotten over the past, love each other & share deep respect. Katy is my friend and is truly a kind soul. End of story."
Katy replied, saying, "Love you too friend. Onward and upward."
