Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom welcome baby girl Daisy Dove
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have welcomed their baby girl into the world with an unconventional announcement.
The I Kissed A Girl singer and Pirates of the Carribean actor made the exciting announcement on Instagram through UNICEF, with the fund writing: “Welcome to the world, Daisy Dove Bloom! We are honoured to introduce Goodwill Ambassadors @KatyPerry and @OrlandoBloom’s new bundle of joy.”
Katy famously released a song called Daisies back in May as part of her new album Smile, which was obvioulsy an ode to her unborn daughter.
“‘We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,’ Katy and Orlando told us,” the Instagram post reads.
Katy and Orlando went on to say: “we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was.

“Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes. Since COVID-19 many more newborn lives are at risk because of the increased lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.⠀
“As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, we know UNICEF is there, on the ground, doing whatever it takes to make sure every expecting mother has access to a trained health worker and access to quality healthcare. In celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has, we have set up a donation page to celebrate DDB’s arrival.

Katy announced she was expecting her first child back in March, in her music video for her song Never Worn White.
In the clip Katy could be seen wearing a ‘bouquet’ of flowers, as well as an angelic white gown fit for a bride, but the moment that had everybody talking was the shot of her cradling a baby bump.
Once the video had premiered, she took to Twitter to confirm the happy news with fans.
“Omg so glad I don’t have to suck it in anymore,” she wrote.
She also went live on Instagram to show off her bump and share her excitement with her fans.
While this is Katy Perry’s first child, Orlando Bloom is already father to nine-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
Katy and Orlando started dating in 2016 and became engaged over a year ago in February 2019.
