What Lady Gaga stopped to tell Michelle Obama at Biden's inauguration
She thrilled audiences with her rendition of The Star Spangled Banner but Lady Gaga couldn’t help laying the compliments on a former first lady after her performance at Joe Biden’s inauguration.
The 34-year-old Rain On Me singer thanked President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris at the US Capitol in Washington, before leaving the stage.
However, before her microphone was turned off, Gaga was caught on camera stopping in front of former first lady Michelle Obama
"You look so wonderful," Gaga said, complimenting Michelle’s head-to-toe Sergio Hudson purple outfit.
The moment didn’t go unnoticed online, with one person writing: “Lady Gaga taking the time to tell Michelle Obama that she looks beautiful, wouldn't we all?”
“Lady Gaga saying, "You look so wonderful!" to Michelle Obama is a whole mood,” another person said.
“Did Lady Gaga just stop to tell Michelle Obama she looks beautiful? That is the energy I'm bringing into 2021,” a Twitter user wrote.

Others loved the pair’s warm embrace when they first saw each other, with many calling it the friendship we need this year.
Lady Gaga sang the US National Anthem dressed in a stunning ballgown many have compared to an outfit from The Hunger Games.
Wearing a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture billowing scarlet ballgown skirt and navy turtleneck, people online couldn’t help but noticed that the giant brooch attached to Gaga’s jacket looked very like the Mockingjay Pin Katniss Everdeen dons in The Hunger Games franchise.
“Proof that Lady Gaga is secretly a Capitol Citizen in Panem singing at the inauguration of President Alma Coin after President Snow was kicked out of office. The performance is available on Capitol TV,” one person joked online.
Lady Gaga took to her Twitter account to explain the meaning behind the broach, writing: “A dove carrying an olive branch. May we all make peace with each other.”
Other musical acts at the 46th president’s inauguration ceremony were Gaga’s fellow diva Jennifer Lopez, who crooned a “This Land Is Your Land”, “America the Beautiful” medley in a symbolic white suffragette pantsuit, and Garth Brooks, who performed a solemn “Amazing Grace,” asking both attendees and viewers at home to sing along in unity.
