The Pieces of April cast had a family reunion.
Katie Holmes recently came together with costars Patricia Clarkson and Derek Luke, plus writer-director Peter Hedges, for a screening and Q&A for their 2003 Thanksgiving dramedy, held at the Paris Theater in New York City on Aug. 26.
Sharing a group photo that also included panel moderator Azazel Jacobs, Holmes, 45, wrote, "What a thrill to watch this film again at the Paris theater with #patriciaclarkson and @derekluke. And our incredible filmmaker #peterhedges."
"So many beautiful memories making this film and a new one made tonight," she added.
Among the comments was one from Dawson's Creek creator Kevin Williamson, who praised, "I love this movie. You are wonderful in it! Great film!!!"

Pieces of April follows "first pancake" April (Holmes), the 21-year-old eldest child and black sheep of the Burns family, as she attempts to put together a Thanksgiving meal in her tiny New York City apartment for her dysfunctional family (played by Clarkson, 64, plus Oliver Platt, Alison Pill and John Gallagher Jr.), who are reluctantly driving in from the suburbs.
The meal is a last-ditch effort from April to reconnect with her mother Joy, played by Clarkson, who is dying from breast cancer. But a series of misfortune causes tense moments leading up to the reunion, which culminates in April and Joy rediscovering what is important in their relationship.
Luke, 50, plays Bobby, April's boyfriend, with supporting performances from Alice Drummond, Isiah Whitlock Jr. and Sean Hayes as April's neighbor Wayne.
Pieces of April marked the first collaboration for Luke and Holmes, who later appeared together in 2022's Alone Together and 2023's Rare Objects, both written, produced and directed by Holmes.

Holmes shared a tribute to the late actor on her Instagram Stories Aug. 31, alongside a screenshot of a reel posted by their Dawson's Creek costar Mary-Margaret Humes.
