Kathryn Hahn Gets Mistaken for Ana Gasteyer: ‘Everyone Asked Me If I Was on “SNL”’
"I'm always confused, and flatteringly so, with Ana Gasteyer," Hahn said
Kathryn Hahn fully embraces being Ana Gasteyer's doppelgänger.
On the Monday, Sept. 30 edition of the Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast, Hahn, 51, opened up about how she feels about getting mistaken for Gasteyer, 57.
"I'm always confused, and flatteringly so, with Ana Gasteyer. We always are confused with each other. She will send me pictures of Starbucks cups that say Bad Moms like, 'I love Bad Moms,' " said Hahn. Hahn starred in the hit 2016 film alongside Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell.
"Everyone asked me if I was on SNL," said Hahn, giving another example of how she's been mistaken for Gasteyer, who appeared as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1996 to 2002.

"I'm very flattered. We both went [to] Northwestern," added Gasteyer, expressing that the two also have "a pretty healthy body of work."
In 2019, Gasteyer shared similar sentiments in a conversation with PEOPLE about her dream collaborator.

"We're going to find each other on Ancestry.com," said Gasteyer of her and Hahn's similar looks. "Every single day, I probably get a compliment for her, and every single day, she gets a compliment for me. And we both went to Northwestern and finally met. We know a million people in common, but like our dream would be to play sisters or something."
When asked if she ever plays along when mistaken for the Agatha All Along star, she reflected on her experience meeting Kenny G.

"I met Kenny G, good name drop, backstage at the Match Game, or, like, one of those game shows, and he came up, and he was like, 'Bad Moms, I met you there,' and I didn't have the heart to tell Kenny G I wasn't Kathryn Hahn, so I just said thank you it with super fun working with you," said Gasteyer.
In 2017, Gasteyer provided photo proof of an instance when she was mistaken for Hahn by sharing an Instagram photo of herself holding a Starbucks cup with "Bad Mom!" written in black ink.
