Kathryn Hahn and David Harbour Show Off Their 'Rizz' in Gen Z-Approved Speech at the Critics Choice Awards 2025

"Just because the show's 30, it doesn't make it a boomer," the 'Stranger Things' actor teased of the award show

David Harbour and Kathryn Hahn know what’s up!

The two television stars jokingly showed off their knowledge of Gen Z lingo while presenting the award for best actress in a limited series or a movie made for TV at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards on Friday, Feb. 7.

The Stranger Things actor, 49, began their speech with a mention of the award show’s milestone telecast. "Kath and I are very excited to be here on the 30th anniversary of the Critics Choice Awards," he said. "But don't worry, just because the show's 30, it doesn't make it a boomer."

Harbour continued, "We've been told that we are the perfect people to speak to the youths."

"No cap, David," Hahn added with a passionate grunt before putting her supposed slang expertise to good use. "My Gen Zs know that these awards can still serve up that pure sigma energy that makes you go yeet."

"That's right," Harbour said. "That's right, Kathryn. These noms hit different. They brought that big rizz and then they were like, 'Bye!', after eight episodes and one movie. And that's quite literally skibidi toilet Ohio of them. It's so sus. Am I right, girly pop?"

"Big sus, David," the Agatha All Along actress said. "And I hope that’s not cringe."

Harbour made headlines for attending the award show in his first public appearance since news broke of his split from wife Lily Allen.

The actor sported a sleek all-black look as he walked the carpet solo. He was photographed without his wedding ring on the red carpet of the awards show.

On Feb. 3, a source exclusively confirmed to PEOPLE that Harbour and Allen, 39, were going their separate ways after four years of marriage.

"Her marriage has been crumbling, and they have split,” the insider said.

Allen shares two daughters, Marnie Rose, 12, and Ethel Mary, 13, with ex-husband Sam Cooper, and the insider added that it has "been very hard for her and her girls” to go through.

Meanwhile, Hahn hit the red carpet in a stunning strapless black dress with a textured fabric along the torso. The ensemble was lined with thick threads of fabric along the top and the skirt.

She paired the look with a pair of black high heels with a diamond strap and wore her pair pulled back in a bun with face-framing pieces.
