Get ready to have your breath truly taken away as Kate Winslet just posed completely topless for a new photoshoot, and honestly our jaws hit the floor.

The actor, 48, graces the cover for the new issue of Harper's Bazaar UK and at one point in the accompanying photoshoot she appears completely topless, submerged in water and looking directly into camera, wearing a pair of white gold and diamond David Morris earrings. In the image you can also spot a small bird tattoo on her wrist.

In the accompanying interview for the cover feature, which largely discusses Kate's new role in the film Lee, Kate also spoke candidly about body image.

In the interview, Kate reflected on her own childhood, in which she felt she never saw women complimenting themselves.

"I do feel a huge sense of relief that women are so much more accepting of themselves and refusing to be judged," says Winslet. "Because I don’t know a single contemporary of mine who grew up seeing her mother looking in the mirror and saying: 'I look nice!' My mother never did: it was always, oh God, I don’t think I can wear this, do I look hippy, does my bum look big? We waste so much time being down on ourselves and I’m just not doing it ever again."

In Lee, Kate plays Lee Miller, the model turned photographer who became a war correspondent in World War II. As part of her preparation for the movie, Kate revealed she stopped exercising so that her body would look "authentically soft". The actor then revealed while on set she was asked by a member of the crew if she wanted to sit up straighter while filming a scene in a bikini.

"There’s a bit where Lee’s sitting on a bench in a bikini... And one of the crew came up between takes and said: 'You might want to sit up straighter.' So you can’t see my belly rolls? Not on your life! It was deliberate, you know?" she said.

Kate also revealed she feels more comfortable in herself as every year passes, and if that's not a positive message to take away we don't know what is.
