Kate Middleton was practically perfect in a purple power suit on an official visit to Northern Ireland on Wednesday.

The Duchess of Cambridge — who walked the red carpet at the James Bond premiere in a sparkling gold gown the night before — looked fresh and chic in the matching double-breasted blazer and slim trousers while touring Ulster University in Londonderry.

Kate, 39, took a leaf out of her grandmother-in-law's brightly coloured wardrobe with her violet-hued ensemble by UK designer Emilia Wickstead.

The mum-of-three layered her jacket over a simple black turtleneck and added a sleek black belt to pull the look together.

A trademark Middleton bouncy ponytail, understated gold hoop earrings and suede navy wedges complete her outfit.

It was the ideal ensemble for striding about the campus alongside her husband, Prince William to greet nursing students and staff on a chilly autumn day.

Royal fans adored Kate's business-forward fashion, taking to social media to share their praise.

"Love the purple on Catherine!" one fan wrote on Instagram.

"That suit colour," added another.

One fan thought that the duchess' suit was even better than the gilded Jenny Packham gown she wore to the No Time To Die premiere in London.

"I mean that shimmering gold look was stunning, but wow- Purple is Catherine’s colour!" they remarked.
