Kate and Meghan reunite for first time since Christmas

As rumours of a royal feud between sisters-in-law Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton continue without respite, the two duchesses have finally been pictured together.

The royal brides and their husbands united in support of Prince Charles on Tuesday, and it’s the first time we’ve seen the ‘awesome foursome’ in public since Christmas Day.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Sussex joined the Queen and Camilla for a special reception to mark the 50 years since Charles was formally named the Prince of Wales in 1969.

Sticking to her signature style, Kate wore a midi-length pale green dress with a ruffled neck and button-front bodice.

Meanwhile pregnant sister-in-law opted for a very different look in a silver and gold frock that fell to the knee, which she paired with a cream Amanda Wakeley Crombie coat, pink satin Wilbur & Gussie clutch and suede Paul Andrew heels.

The foursome have been busy with royal duties since the start of the new year, heading off on seperate royal tours.

Harry and Meghan spent some time in Morocco, while Kate and William visited Northern Ireland, before taking some well-earned family time off.

Rumours of a royal feud between the Cambridges and Sussexes have been swirling since November when Harry and Meghan announced they would be moving out of Kensington Palace – where Kate and Wills live with their family – in favour of a country estate in Windsor.

William and Harry’s plans to “split” Kensington Palace into two separate households also added to the narrative.

And photos of Tuesday’s event have done little to put the talk to bed, as Kate and Meghan were pictured standing quite far apart from each other.

There has been no response from the palace as to whether there’s any truth to the rumours, however royal editor and author Robert Jobson, who has spent over 30 years covering the royal family, believes that there has been some confrontation between the duchesses.

“Whether or not there were reports Kate cried over the way her daughter, I don’t know if that’s true or not, but there’s clearly been some confrontation,” he told Yahoo UK’s The Royal Box.

“I think that most of the stories that have been written have probably been true or Kensington Palace would have come down on them with a ton of bricks, so I think most of it’s probably true.”
