If you've been doom-scrolling on the internet lately (same), chances are you've seen the new multi-generational SKIMS holiday campaign starring Kate Hudson, her brother Oliver Hudson, their mom Goldie Hawn, and all of their families. Ngl, it's pretty cute.
Featured in the photo are the Hudson siblings' significant others—Kate's fiancé Danny Fujikawa, Oliver's wife Erinn Bartlett—and their respective children: Kate's three kids Ryder (who she shares with ex-husband Chris Robinson), Bingham (who she shares with ex Matt Bellamy), and Rani (who she shares with her fiancé), and Oliver's three kids Wilder, Bodhi, and Rio. Whew!
That explains the 11 people featured in the campaign...but it doesn't include Kate Hudson's dad, Bill Hudson...or Goldie Hawn's longtime partner, Kurt Russell...or Kate's six (!!) other siblings. So, let's get into the deets, shall we? Kicking things off with...
Kate Hudson's mom: Goldie Hawn
Yep, if you didn't already know, Kate is the (nepo) baby of legendary actress Goldie Hawn, and the two have always been super close. You love to see it.
Goldie has always supported Kate for following in her footsteps, and most recently, she praised her daughter for the release of her debut album, Glorious. "Isn't it great?" Goldie said of the project while chatting with Us Weekly in September 2024. "She is successful, but she is also talented. She knows how to sing. She's got talent."
Goldie has been in a relationship with actor Kurt Russell for over four decades, and the two share four children (Kate and Oliver from Goldie's previous marriage to Bill Hudson, Boston Russell from Kurt's previous marriage to Season Hubley, and Wyatt Hudson, who they welcomed together in 1986).
Kate Hudson's dad: Bill Hudson
While Kate is very close with her mom, the same can't be said for her biological father, Bill Hudson. Bill is a singer and founding member of the band The Hudson Brothers alongside his two younger brothers, and after he and Goldie separated in 1980 (just months after welcoming Kate), it didn't seem he was all that involved in Kate's life. Pls see the caption on the Father's Day post Oliver made back in 2015...
However, during a May 2024 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Kate said she's been making an effort to improve the strained relationship she has with her father. "I know him enough to know, throughout the years, that whatever it is that he carries, whatever it is that makes him unable to have the capacity to be our dad doesn't mean that he hasn't loved us from afar or tried his best," she said. "I wouldn't be me if it wasn't for my dad."
After divorcing Goldie, Bill was married to late actress Cindy Williams (pictured above), with whom he shares two children, Emily and Zachary Hudson. The couple later split in 2000. Six years later, he had a daughter, Lalania Hudson, with his girlfriend at the time, Caroline Graham.
Kate Hudson's brother: Oliver Hudson
Like Kate, Oliver was born to Bill and Goldie during their short-lived marriage, and he, too, decided to pursue a career in acting. (Perhaps you know him from Rules of Engagement? Or Nashville? Or Splitting Up Together?) Seeing as he and his younger sister have hosted a podcast called Sibling Revelry together since 2019, it's safe to say he and Kate are pretty close.
Oliver also 100 percent had Kate's back when she decided to get serious about her singing. "Kate is a fearless human being through and through," he told Us Weekly. "I think as far as singing goes, it was the one thing that kind of stuck where it was like, 'Man, I don't know if I can do this. I have insecurity around it.' She just basically said, 'F*ck it. Let me just take the shot, take the chance, put it out there.' That's inspirational because you could fall flat on your face."
Oliver has been married to actress Erinn Bartlett since 2006, and the couple has three children together: Wilder, Bodhi, and Rio.
Kate Hudson's half-brother: Wyatt Hudson
Though the two aren't married (and don't plan on getting married), Kate's mom Goldie has been with actor Kurt Russell for a whopping 40 years, and together, they share Kate's half-brother, actor Wyatt Hudson, who is seven years her junior. Wyatt is probably best known for his breakout role as John Walker in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Kate and Wyatt don't often discuss their relationship with the media, but based on the support the two have shown each other on social media over the years, it seems like the half-siblings have a nice bond.
Wyatt married actress Meredith Hagner in 2019, and they've since welcomed two sons, Buddy and Boone.
Kate Hudson's stepbrother: Boston Russell
Kate only has one stepsibling, and that's her stepbrother Boston, who was born to Kurt Russell and his ex-wife, Season Hubley, in 1980, just a little less than a year after Kate. Unlike his three siblings, Boston decided not to pursue an acting career, and tbh, very little is known about him, since he stays largely out of the limelight. The only Hollywood-adjacent credit on his resume: a production assistant role for his dad's 1996 movie, Executive Decision.
And because Boston doesn't have a social media presence, nothing is known about his personal life or relationship with Kate, either. Honestly, respect. Peep his last public appearance below, which was for Goldie and Kurt's double star ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame back in 2017.
Kate Hudson's half-sister: Emily Hudson
During his marriage to Cindy Williams, Kate's dad Bill had two children: Emily, born in 1982, and Zachary, born in 1986. According to Kate, she and Emily had been estranged for years and only recently reconnected.
During a January 2024 episode of Sibling Revelry, she explained, "I had this moment last year where I was like, 'I don't know why I don't talk to my other siblings.' I don't care what the history is with our parents... I have two sisters that I don't speak to for no other reason than our family is separated." She went on to say that she, Emily, and Zachary "have all just started communicating again."
Little is known about Emily, since she keeps her life pretty private, but here she is pictured with her mom Cindy, above, back in 2010.
Kate Hudson's half-brother: Zachary Hudson
Like his older sister Emily, Zachary didn't seem to have much of a relationship with his half-sister Kate until pretty recently. He also keeps himself out of the limelight, save for this appearance he and Emily made at their mom's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 2004, below.
His mom, Cindy, passed away in 2023 after a brief illness, and he and Emily released a statement following her death: "The passing of our kind, hilarious mother, Cindy Williams, has brought us insurmountable sadness that could never truly be expressed. Knowing and loving her has been our joy and privilege. She was one of a kind, beautiful, generous and possessed a brilliant sense of humor and a glittering spirit that everyone loved."
Kate Hudson's half-sister: Lalania Hudson
Perhaps the most mysterious of Kate's six siblings (and that's really saying something, considering only two of her siblings even have a public presence): her half-sister, Lalania. Lalania is the daughter of Kate's dad Bill and his girlfriend at the time, Caroline Graham, and she was born in 2006, making her 18 years old. Per her Instagram, she's pursuing a career in acting and modeling.
Again, very little is known about her—though she and Kate follow each other on Insta, so that's something!! Oh, and a bonus one for you...
Kate Hudson's half-brother: Paul
During a February 2024 episode of Sibling Revelry, Kate revealed that she and Oliver were contacted eight years earlier by a half-brother named Paul, who they apparently had no idea existed. According to Kate, he was born to Bill Hudson and later put up for adoption.
"I show up at my house and there's a note under the door," Oliver explained during the episode. "And it says, 'My name is Paul. I'd love to have a conversation with you.' Turns out, this guy Paul who lives in Utah is my, our half-brother. My father had him when he was 16 and had to give him up for adoption." Wild stuff!!
