If there’s anything his time on the Today show, or even the Ubergate saga, has taught us, it’s that Karl Stefanovic is usually not afraid to speak his mind.

But the Channel Nine TV star was rather quiet when asked a very racy question during a radio interview this morning.

Appearing on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O show, the 44-year-old refused to confirm whether he’s circumcised or not, when the question was posed to him live on air.

“I feel like I'm, like, embarrassed to ask him... are you circumcised?” one of Kyle and Jackie O’s producers Sonia asked the former Gold Logie winner.

Cue an awkward silence and Karl animatedly spinning the KIIS FM birthday wheel in the studio. Talk about avoiding the question!

“Wow...” he said, before the radio duo reminded him he’d asked for any questions to be thrown his way.

“I have a peculiarity... I'm not willing to divulge,” he answered coyly. “It's like a dolphin in a net.”

Karl’s breakfast radio interview was ahead of his return to the small screen as the host of This Time Next Year when it premieres on Channel Nine on August 12.

While he was in the KIIS FM studios, he also cleared up some rumours about his career following his dumping from the Today at the end of last year.

“No one has asked me to go back to the Today show,” he told Kyle and Jackie O.

“I’ve been enjoying myself. I’ve been doing a bit of 60 Minutes and This Time Next Year and for me, it’s a great combination.”

When Karl got the boot from Today in late 2018, his sister-in-law Sylvia also left the show, while brother Peter was shown the door from the network altogether.

Peter has gone on to secure a breakfast gig on Sky News, while Sylvia announced on Monday that she’s landed her own new TV show, Nine News Watch with Sylvia Jeffreys.
