Just days after confirming they were expecting following months of speculation, Karl Stefanovic, 45 and his 35-year-old wife, Jasmine Yarbrough, have revealed the gender of their first child.

The high-profile couple announced that they would be welcoming a baby girl at a lavish gender reveal party at Crown, Melbourne on Friday night according to Sunday Confidential.

Karl and Jasmine were reportedly joined at the venue’s Crystal Room by close friends and family including 14-year-old Ava, one of three children Karl shares with ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn.

Karl confirms: we’re pregnant!

Despite fashion designer Jas’s growing bump, the parents-to-be had stayed mum on their baby news until Thursday when Karl was put on the spot on the Kyle and Jackie O Show.

“Karl, you guys are expecting a baby aren’t you? You and Jas?” Jackie O asked the Today show host point-blank.

“Yeah,” Karl replied, adding that they were ‘very pumped’.

Interestingly, the TV personality also claimed that the couple wasn’t going to find out if they were having a boy or a girl.

Earlier in the week, Karl was spotted attending day three of the Australian Open with Jasmine and daughter Ava, laughing and clapping as they watched Ash Barty and Polona Hercog battle it out on the court.

It wasn’t all play, however, as Karl and his Today co-host Allison Langdon were also putting in time in front of the camera while hosting the show from the grounds of Rod Laver Arena for the past week.

Baby on board

Back in December, Karl appeared to address speculation that his wife was pregnant by re-sharing a rather unflattering pap shot of himself at the beach on his Instagram along with a cheeky caption.

“After a great deal of speculation...the rumours are true,” he joked, adding a baby emoji.

While it’s clear now that those rumours are very much true, Karl’s co-host Ally wasn’t about to miss an opportunity to take a gentle jab at his ‘dad bod’ on live TV.

Sharing a paparazzi photo taken on December 14th to Instagram, the Today show host shared the exciting news while also taking a jab at his ‘dad bod’.
