Karl confirms wife Jasmine is pregnant with their first child
After months of denying pregnancy rumours, Karl Stefanovic has finally confirmed his wife, Jasmine Yarbrough, is pregnant with the couple’s first child.
“Karl, you guys are expecting a baby aren’t you? You and Jas?” Jackie O asked the Today show host on the Kyle and Jackie O Show this morning.
“Yeah,” Karl replied. “Very pumped! Very pumped.”
He added that the couple aren’t going to be finding out the gender of the baby.
Despite his new hectic schedule, after returning to the Today show earlier this month, the TV host has still left a little bit of free time in his diary to enjoy himself, as he was spotted attending day three of the Australian Open with pregnant Jasmine and his daughter, Ava.
The 45-year-old was pictured having the time of his life in the stands at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, laughing out loud with his 14-year-old daughter from his previous marriage to Cassandra Thorburn.
Jasmine looked stunning as she showed off her growing baby bump in an off-the-shoulder blue long-sleeved dress.
The trio clapped as they watched Ash Barty and Polona Hercog battle it out on the court.
Karl and his co-host Allison Langdon have been hosting the Today show from the grounds of the Australian Open for the past week.
Karl confirms Jasmine’s pregnancy
Back in December, Karl seemed to confirm Jasmine was pregnant by taking to his Instagram to post a hilarious photo.
Sharing a paparazzi photo taken on December 14th to Instagram, the Today show host shared the exciting news while also taking a jab at his ‘dad bod’.
“After a great deal of speculation...the rumours are true,” he wrote, adding a baby emoji.
Karl returns to the Today show
At the beginning of January, Karl, alongside co-host Allison Langdon, made their Today show debut together two days earlier than expected.
The duo took their seats at the Channel Nine desk to cover the bushfire crisis.
Karl’s return came one year after he was sensationally sacked from the show while he was on honeymoon with his new wife.
“For a while there, to be honest, I don’t think I was OK,” he revealed to The Sydney Morning Herald in July 2019, adding that the firing “wasn’t a great surprise.”
After six months off the airwaves, Karl was back at work, completing the next series of This Time Next Year and appearing on 60 Minutes.
In a shock move, Karl was reinstated as host at the start of 2020 alongside Allison Langdon, ousting existing duo Georgie Gardner and Deb Knight.
