As a new mother, Kaley's been rather forthcoming with her experiences of motherhood, at times calling out folks who disagree with her approach or criticizing her parenting practices.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in January, the Flight Attendant actor talked about how she became "so angry" on her daughter's first flight. "I was so terrified," she said. "So I thought, 'What do we do?' We have to bring her sound machine on the plane. It's the only thing she can go to sleep to."

The Based on a True Story actor said the flight attendant approached her with a passenger's request to turn off the sound machine. She and Tom "were so angry" by the request, especially when the passenger who made the request told them, "Oh, so your daughter does know how to smile" at the end of the flight.

Around the same time, Kaley shared with USA Today about her allowing screen time for their toddler, a parenting trait that's received "hate," and how she doesn't "care" if they disagree. "Some people are going to hate on me for that. Don't care," Kaley said. "My daughter's seen every Disney movie that there is at this point, and she loves it!"

Now, months later, Kaley is elaborating on her parenting methods, urging people who are parents or non-parents to chill out with the "mom shaming."

Talking with E! News in an interview aired on Nov. 18, Kaley said, "Every mom, I can guarantee, is doing the best they can."

"Look, everyone's got something to say about everything. There's no change before I had kids, to having kids, to where I am in my life," she said, before adding, "It's just this business, it's this life. It is what it is. But yeah, we got to stop at the shaming."

"I just feel like every kid is so different," Kaley insisted. "What's good for your kid might not be good for mine."

According to Kaley, her daughter is a huge movie fan, and while some parents might choose to limit screen time for their kids, she isn't worried about it. "She just watched, like, seven movies on HBO," Kaley said, laughing. "Yeah, she's watching Game of Thrones when I get home."

Kaley suggested that not strictly limiting how much her daughter watches has noticeably made Matilda care less about screen time. "I think that's the trick," she said.

As for Matilda's future, Kaley foresees her going beyond just watching TV and movies and following her family's footsteps in show business. "I don't know how this child will not be an actress. I mean, it's an acting family."

On top of Matilda's dad being an actor known for his roles in soap operas like Guiding Light, As the World Turns, and Netflix's Ozark, Kaley and her sister Briana Cuoco are actors, too.

Lastly, while some celebrity parents might be apprehensive about their children entering the same business, Kaley remains positive based on her and Tom's experiences. "We've been through all the ups and downs," she said, "and that girl is a performer. There's no way she's not going to perform."
