Justin Chambers is a father of five.

The Grey's Anatomy star and his wife, Keisha Chambers, have been married since 1993. They share five adult children, daughters Isabella, 30, Maya, 27, Kaila, 27, and Eva, 25 and son Jackson, 22. Though the kids mostly grew up in Los Angeles, they traveled back and forth between the West Coast and New York City, where the Chambers family also had a home.

"Being a parent is great. It's hard work, but fun," he told PEOPLE in 2008. "Love and enjoy your children, but at the same time, be sure to call them out on their crap. I'm not afraid to call them on their character."

Now, the actor's five children are all grown up, with his oldest child, Isabella, turning 30 in December. "That's a big milestone," Chambers told PEOPLE at the 25th Annual Women's Image Awards in Beverly Hills, Calif. in February 2024.

He also described his four daughters as "very independent, levelheaded, kind," adding, "I'm very blessed, very grateful."

After starring as Dr. Alex Karev in Grey's Anatomy for 16 seasons, Chambers left the show in 2020. Following the announcement, the actor told Page Six that he was looking forward to “life, family, love, and friendships."

Here's everything to know about Justin Chambers' five kids.

Chambers' first child, daughter Isabella, was born in December 1994.

Isabella has made some red carpet appearances with her father over the years, including her and her mom joining Chambers at the 2007 American Music Awards in Los Angeles. She has been her dad's solo date to events as well, including the Dolce & Gabbana flagship boutique opening in Los Angeles in December 2008 and MaxMara & Allure Celebrate ABC's #TGIT in Beverly Hills in November 2015.

During the 25th Annual Women's Image Awards in 2024, the actor opened up about his eldest child to PEOPLE, saying, "I'm proud of her. She's very socially conscious and she's just a very loving girl who is very involved with world issues and just kind."

Chambers and Keisha welcomed twin daughters, Maya and Kaila, on June 4, 1997. Maya was about 8 years old when their dad started on Grey's Anatomy, so her dad's appearance on the show was normal for her and her siblings.

"They were at such a young age when we started, they don't really know much," Chambers told E! News in 2019 of his time on the hit ABC drama. "They're very happy for, hey, I'm paying for college. [The norm] is that I'm on Grey's Anatomy."

When his costar Camilla Ludington asked if his kids thought he "was cool," he immediately responded, "No. And nor should your child think their parent is too cool."

Maya graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in printmaking in 2019. She currently works as a printmaker and tattoo artist and showcases work from both mediums on her website.

Chambers' daughter Kaila was also born on June 4, 1997. Kaila attended The Cooper Union in New York City, where she was involved in film and the arts. She has shown off her drawings and animation projects on Instagram, including a stop-motion film she worked on for four years that included sound effects recorded by her younger sister, Eva.

She has also modeled, appearing in the magazine Junk, and is the most publicly active Chambers sibling on social media, often sharing photos of her mother and her grandfather, as well as snaps from around New York City.

Kaila has made red carpet appearances with her dad, too. In 2016, she joined her father at the 15th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Brentwood, Calif.

Chambers' youngest daughter, Eva, was born on March 31, 1999.

In high school, Eva was the bassist of Pinky Pinky, a garage rock-punk trio formed with childhood friends Anastasia Sanchez and Isabelle Fields. They played together while high school students at Valor Academy, and their debut full-length album, Turkey Dinner, dropped in June 2019. Eva told Office Magazine in 2017 that they had gone through "a ton of band names" before settling on Pinky Pinky, which "is the name of this South African monster that hurts little girls on the toilet if they wear pink." As of 2024, none of the band's social media accounts are active.

Eva shared some of her favorite contemporary artists with Vice in 2018, saying, "The pop stars who changed my life are probably Britney Spears and Lady Gaga. I still think they're the best."

Like her siblings, Eva has made red carpet appearances with her dad, with the most recent being at the PaleyFest Los Angeles 2017.

Jackson is Chambers' youngest child and only son. He was born on Jan. 2, 2002.

When Jackson was 5, Chambers told the Rachael Ray Show audience that his son was getting into tae kwon do. "His personality's starting to come, so we're starting to do things, just take him in the car and ride around and go to the beach," the Broken City actor said at the time.

Chambers' former Grey's Anatomy costar, Sarah Drew, said in 2011 that the proud dad would sometimes bring Jackson to set. "He's so adorable," she told Hollywood Life.

Jackson joined his family at a few red carpet events when he was younger, including outings at Tommy Hilfiger's Prep World Pop-Up House in Los Angeles in June 2011 and John Varvatos's 10th Annual Stuart House benefit event in L.A. in March 2013. As an adult, Jackson has largely stayed out of the spotlight.
