Days after Lancôme released the cinematic campaign for its latest fragrance, La vie est belle L’Elixir, Roberts, 56, reminisced about filming the project on Instagram. Roberts is the face of the campaign.
"Strolling French rooftops with the incredible Damien Chazelle 🤩 and a luxury hot water bottle 🤓. BTS for @lancomeofficial," wrote Roberts next to a behind-the-scenes image of her and director Damien Chazelle.
The snap, posted on Tuesday, Sept 3, showed the actress holding onto the La La Land director's arm and a white object as crew members stood behind them.
The project marked the first time that Roberts and Chazelle, both Academy Award winners, worked together.
"Working with Damien was a joy. For me, we fell into a rhythm so quickly and found a common ground of humor that was an unexpected bonus. I hope we get to work together again," Roberts said in a press release.

Lancôme's press release states that the video "captures Julia Roberts in a beautifully poetic, defining moment, as she chooses her own path over others’ expectations."
"With time magically suspended, Chazelle’s cinematic lens pictures the actress as she gazes out over Paris from the top of the Arc de Triomphe and experiences the exhilaration that comes with being the author of her own story," it adds.
Roberts, a longtime Lancôme Ambassadress, revealed the beauty and health advice she'd give her younger self while speaking to PEOPLE last December.
“Stand up straighter. It’s all going to be okay, and don’t pluck your eyebrows," she said.
