“2024 was a tough year but it’s taught me a lot,” he begins the caption. “It helped me grow and be stronger than I’ve ever been. Sometimes the tough situations can change you. You end up becoming a different person. A better version of yourself.”
He continues that the those situations helped him to learn more about himself and also “opened my eyes to many things.”
“Even though it was tough, I know that it taught me many lessons and for that I’m grateful. I always tell myself that God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers,” he adds.
Josh also notes how he was able to find a silver lining during the d times.
“But it wasn’t all bad, in these tough situations, I realized who is really there for you. These people become your pillars in life. They stand by you. They understand when you need space. They’ve got you even if it at this moment in time, you don’t have them. I will forever be grateful for my community who continue to love me, support me and those special ones who came into my life.”
He ends the caption by looking to a brighter year ahead in 2025.
“Here’s to 2025, a new year, a fresh start, and a chance to write a new book with some new beginnings. This WILL be my best year yet,” he concludes, followed by the prayer hands emoji.

Josh officially filed for divorce from Christina in July 2024 after nearly three years of marriage. He cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split and requested spousal support from the Christina on the Coast star. Their divorce proceedings, which have often played out in the public eye, are ongoing.
Christina previously revealed what may have been a breaking point for their marriage during an interview with ET in November. The designer said some of their issues intensified while they were filming her upcoming HGTV series, The Flip Off, which also stars her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa.
She told the outlet that it was "not fun" filming with Josh: “When someone is insecure by you and doesn’t like to watch you win, that really puts a damper on everything, I feel like I was not shining as bright, to try to not make him feel emasculated. But who wants to live like that?”
Christina also claimed that Josh was uncomfortable with her relationship with Tarek.
“[Josh] doesn’t like our dynamic, because Tarek and I have our own dynamic, and some could call it ‘flirty,’” she said. “For me, it’s like a sibling type of thing.”
Christina and Tarek previously starred in their hit HGTV show, Flip or Flop, and continued to film together for several seasons even after their dramatic 2016 split. They have since become amicable co-parents for their kids Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9, and Tarek recently described them as friends, while explaining that he and Heather were there to support Christina through the divorce.
Christina and Heather have also formed a strong relationship despite their initial rocky start, with Christina telling PEOPLE in July 2024 that the pair have been "close for a while now."
The trio spent Christmas Eve together at Christina's home with their blended family.
