Jon Bon Jovi's Wife Dorothea Hurley Sets the Record Straight About Skipping His Doc Screening

Jon Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea Hurley

On April 25, Jon Bon Jovi walked the red carpet solo ahead of a screening of his new docuseries—prompting speculation about why his wife, Dorothea Hurley, was absent. Hurley has now set the record straight after  Bon Jovi admitted he hadn't "been a saint" during their marriage.

A rep for Hurley told Page Six that she didn't miss the Thank You Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story screening because of a lover's spat. Instead, she skipped the vent because she tested positive for COVID-19 and didn't want to risk infecting others.

“As of this morning, she’s feeling well and recovered,” the spokesperson told the publication on Saturday, April 27.

Many pointed to Hurley attending the U.K. premiere on April 17, before the interview was published—but not afterward—to the couple feuding. As it turns out, she just wanted to avoid crowds while sick.

Outlets speculated Hurley may have skipped the doc screening because of the hard rocker's recent comments about being unfaithful.  During a recent interview with The Independent, Bon Jovi reflected on fame and his past infidelities.

"These are all the wonderful clichés of rock stardom," he told the publication. "It’s about never lying about having been a saint, but not being a fool enough to f--- up the home life either."

Bon Jovi and Hurley are high school sweethearts who have been married since 1989. They share four children, one daughter, Stephanie, and three sons, Jesse, Jake and Romeo. Their son, Jake, is engaged to actress Millie Bobby Brown.

Hopefully, Hurley will recover quickly from her illness. Get well soon!
