JoJo Siwa Shared An Update On Her "Very, Very Public Beef" With Candace Cameron Bure, And It Looks Like They Won't Be Podcasting Together Anytime Soon
JoJo Siwa shared people she would never invite on her podcast, and basically, it's anybody named Candace.
On the latest episode of her iHeartRadio podcast JoJo Siwa Now, she revealed celebrities that she's not messing with, and at first, she said Candace Owens.
The following person she revealed she would never invite as a guest on her show was Candace Cameron Bure, two years after their "very, very public beef."
If you remember, their viral feud began in July 2022 as part of a TikTok challenge in what JoJo described as an "accident." JoJo shared the "rudest celebrity" she's ever met and named the Fuller House star.
"It really was an accident," JoJo began on her podcast. "I did not mean for it to go as viral as it was."
"To me, personally, the rudest celebrity I'd ever met was Candace Cameron. She wasn't nice to me when I met her. That doesn't mean she's an awful, rude person," JoJo said. "That just means that she was the rudest that I ever met. Whatever. [I] flashed [the photo] quick, thought no one was going to ever see it."
JoJo admitted she initially felt guilty about the viral beef since they had some mutual friends, but that quickly went away.
"But then I found out some things about Candace that I was like, wait this, this actually is pretty valid. And I found out some shady things that she has done and some shady organizations that she has worked with," JoJo continued. "It goes back to wanting to stand up for my people, but not wanting to create drama that doesn't necessarily need to be there."
Candace initially apologized for the rude interaction, but JoJo took issue with her comments about joining the Great American Family network in November 2022, in which Candace said she would "keep traditional marriage at the core" in response to a question about the inclusion of same-sex marriages on the channel.
Last year on The Viall Files, JoJo shared how Candace's comments and her Christmas movies "got to me a little bit."
"After that, it gave me a little sense of like, 'OK, you and her are never going to agree, you and her are never going to be friends, you and her are never going to get along,'" JoJo said. "I'm never going to be able to change her, she's not going to be able to change me. We can both just live life, we can both just have fun."
On her podcast, JoJo said that Candace was "basically calling gay marriage not traditional and gay marriage weird."
JoJo clarified, "Whether she meant to do that or not, she still did it, and it still stung the community. Of course, you know, we're doing all this work to be more visible and out there for kids in the next generation to feel more normal."
Ultimately, JoJo said, "There's no real shade anymore" between the stars, but she "wouldn't have her on my podcast."
"We just don't walk on the same side of the road," JoJo finished. "If I saw her, I would just not say hi."
So, there you have it. Candace or Candace won't be guests on JoJo Siwa Now anytime soon.
