Home & Away's Johnny Ruffo back in hospital amid cancer battle
Johnny Ruffo has returned to hospital after a short break to continue treatment amid his second battle with brain cancer.
The Home & Away star's girlfriend, 27-year-old Tahnee Sims, took to Instagram Stories on Wednesday to share a snap of him smiling wide while receiving chemotherapy in a hospital ward.
Staying positive
Johnny, 33, revealed the devastating news that the disease had returned in November 2020, less than two years after declaring he was cancer-free.
The actor/singer, who rose to fame as a contestant on The X Factor in 2011, was first diagnosed with brain cancer back in August 2017.
Johnny has remained positive during his gruelling health journey and recently enjoyed visiting a special family member during his fortnight free from hospital appointments.
"Got a two week break from treatment, had to go and see Nonna," he captioned another happy snap on his Instagram.
"It's been far too long. Talk about a food coma," he added with reference to the table full of food in front of him.

Chemo update
Johnny has been keeping his fans in the loop via social media when it comes to his second battle with brain cancer.
At the end of April, he shared a snap of himself giving the thumbs up while receiving treatment in hospital.
"Been busy fighting the good fight," he captioned the pic. "Another round down. Bring on the next."
In 2017, Johnny presented himself to hospital one night after suffering an intense migraine that doctors discovered was being caused by a brain tumour.
He underwent emergency surgery to remove the 7cm tumour which left him with a large scar along his hairline.
In 2019, he released a new song to celebrate being cancer-free, but in November the following year, the cancer was back.
"After an unexpected week of seizures and excruciating headaches it is with a heavy heart that I have to let you know I now have another huge battle ahead of me as my brain cancer has returned," Johnny wrote on Instagram at the time.
With his long-time girlfriend, Tahnee by his side he vowed to "dig deep and beat this s**t disease again".
Before his cancer battle began, Johnny played Chris Harrington on Home & Away from 2013 to 2016.
