Joe Hildebrand says Celebrity Apprentice makes him 'miss' Donald Trump

Former Studio 10 host Joe Hilbrebrand has claimed Celebrity Apprentice Australia has made him miss Donald Trump.

The Channel Nine show is currently underway, with celebrities like former MAFS star Martha Kalifatidis, The Veronicas and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli making waves on the reality show.

However, while Joe Hildebrand claimed in a column for The Advertiser that he’s a big fan of Lord Sugar, he said one of the episodes of the show this week made him miss how blunt Donald Trump was when he was in charge on The Apprentice in the US.

He revealed that he came to this conclusion after Camilla Franks brought Rob Shehadie and Ross Noble into the boardroom with her when her team lost the challenge on Monday night.

While Joe claimed it was obvious Camilla should have been fired, Lord Sugar decided to give Rob Shehadie the boot instead.

“By contrast Trump would have instinctively said 'You're fired!' before his brain even knew what his mouth was doing,” Joe wrote.

“Man I miss that guy.”

Donald Trump gained worldwide notoriety for his The Apprentice, which ran for 15 seasons.

Meanwhile, Joe Hildebrand quit his role on Studio 10 in September 2020, after seven years in the co-hosting chair.

Nine has had success with Celebrity Apprentice Australia, debuting with 812,000 viewers on Sunday, the network confirmed.
