Joan Vassos Claps Back at Martha Stewart for Saying the Men of “The Golden Bachelorette” 'Aren’t Hot Enough'

"She doesn't know them like I know. I got to know the inside of them as well as the outside. And, both are wonderful," Vassos shared of her suitors on 'The Golden Bachelorette'

Joan Vassos says Martha Stewart shouldn't count out the men of The Golden Bachelorette.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Oct. 22, the lifestyle expert, 83, shot down the possibility of appearing on the ABC dating show because she's unimpressed by the male contestants.

Host Andy Cohen asked Stewart if she could be persuaded to join the show for $1 million an episode, to which she shook her head. She responded, “No, the guys aren’t hot enough.”

Her pal Snoop Dogg chimed in, "It ain't about money, it's about how hot the guys are.”

Vassos, 61, later revealed to Access Hollywood that she DM’ed Stewart following her criticism of her suitors.

“I did, and I said, ‘Okay, dating is hard out there and I had a great group of guys,’” she shared. “She doesn't know them like I know. I got to know the inside of them as well as the outside. And, both are wonderful.”

Access Hollywood host Lauren Herbert and her 78-year-old grandma Linda Vandergeest then commented that she had “a good group of guys.”

Vassos responded, “The team did a great job of picking them because even before I knew them, like what they were about, and their stories and their backstory are also wonderful. I mean, they are there for a reason.”

“When they got out of the limos that first night and they started walking towards me, every single one of them did something memorable and made me want to get to know them more,” she added. I guess Martha didn't watch or didn't see what I saw in them, and maybe you have to be in person, I don't know.”

She concluded by calling her group of suitors “special guys.”
