With Donald Trump turning 78 on Friday, Jimmy Fallon gave the former president the gift of humor. But it’s probably not the kind that the criminally convicted candidate wants to hear. (Watch the video below.)
“Down at Mar-a-Lago, they’re planning a big party with candy ankle monitors and a bouncy jail house,” the “Tonight Show” host cracked on Thursday’s episode.
“Trump’s birthday should be fun. The last time people gathered to say ‘Are you 1, are you 2, are you 3,’ they were counting guilty verdicts,” Fallon continued.
Trump, who was convicted on 34 counts in his hush money trial last month, might face prison time. The possibility was not lost on the late night host.
“Apparently when the chef at Mar-a-Lago asked what kind of cake he wanted, Trump said ‘The kind with the file baked into it,’” a winking Fallon said in his Trump voice.
