Jimmy Fallon resurrects classic 'Ew!' sketch on “The Tonight Show ”with Zoë Kravitz and Sabrina Carpenter

After 6 years, Fallon and co. are back to being, like, totally grossed out.

You didn't watch The Tonight Show last night? EW!

On the Aug. 22 episode, the late-night show's host, Jimmy Fallon, tagged in two powerhouse guests to revive a beloved yet long-retired sketch. "Ew!" stars Fallon as a cranked up, grossed out preteen girl who reacts with disgust alongside his celebrity scene partners to ... just about everything. After six years with no "Ew!", it took the summer's hottest actress turned director and Disney star turned pop star to bring it back.

Zoë Kravitz and Sabrina Carpenter joined Fallon's Sara ("and if you're wondering, that's S-A-R-A with no H, because H's are EW!") as Lucy Garret and Hailee Robinson, the character's gal pals from summer camp.

The trio begins by showing off their friendship bracelets: "Very mindful," Kravitz says; "very cutesy," Carpenter agrees; "very ... demure!" Fallon practically barks, in reference to a recent viral TikTok, itself a reference to another TikTok from 2022 that went viral in April.

"Do you remember the dance we learned for the camp talent show?" Sara asks her friends. "I think I forgot, like, most of it," Kravitz's Lucy responds, and Carpenter's Hailee agrees, clearly trying to avoid some group choreo, "Yeah, that was almost three weeks ago."

But Sara rallies them off the couch, and Carpenter's summer smash single "Espresso" starts playing. But they can only get in a few moves before Sara's lame stepdad Gary (played by Tonight Show head writer A.D. Miles) cuts in and expresses enthusiasm, meriting a round of emphatic EWs.

The sketch ends with a rip-roaring "Ew! Speed Round," in which Sara tosses out trending pop culture beats to see if anything can survive the Ew! test. Mullets? "Ew." Pop sockets? "Ew!" Hokas? Double "ew." Love Island? An extended "ewwwww."

What about Stanley Tucci? The Tucc gets a pass. "Cute!" the girls agree. "He's like a really talented actor," says Kravitz's Lucy. "Have you guys seen Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 and Parts 2?" The most emphatic non-" "Ew!" goes to the Starbucks pink drink, which the girls go gaga for as the sketch comes to an end.

The first "Ew!" sketch aired just over 10 years ago and starred the Jonas Brothers. Since then, Fallon's Sara has been joined on the "Ew!" couch by the likes of Michael Strahan, Lindsay Lohan, Taylor Swift, John Cena, and even Michelle Obama.

Kravitz is currently promoting Blink Twice, a vacation thriller starring Channing Tatum and Naomi Ackie that marks her directorial debut. Carpenter meanwhile is promoting her sixth studio album, Short & Sweet, which spawned the singles "Espresso," heard on "Ew!", and "Please Please Please," which she performed later on The Tonight Show. The film and album were both released today.

The Tonight Show airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
