Jimmy Fallon ‘All In’ Broadway Week Sets $2M House Record For A Play – Broadway Box Office
UPDATE, with full box office report: All In: Comedy About Love, the Simon Rich play with a revolving Broadway cast, broke the Hudson Theatre house record for a play last week, with more than a little help from Jimmy Fallon.
Fallon’s brief stint in the production – his one-week performance ended February 2 – saw the weekly grosses jump by a huge 46% over the previous week, landing at $2,080,707, easily topping the Hudson’s previous house record for a play of $1,708,653 set by the 2022 Sarah Jessica Parker-Matthew Broderick production Plaza Suite.

A musical – Merrily We Roll Along starring Daniel Radcliffe – remains the top earner at the venue, with a $2.8M gross in 2024.
The late-night talk host’s appearance also seems to have driven up ticket prices for the show: The average ticket price was $268.69, twice the price of nearly every other show on Broadway, including big musicals like Gypsy starring Audra McDonald and Disney’s The Lion King, though the latter was surely impacted by Broadway’s two-for-one Broadway Week promotion, which draws families.
Costarring during Fallon’s week were Aidy Bryant, Nick Kroll, and Lin-Manuel Miranda (Miranda plays through February 16 with David Cross, Tim Meadows, and Annaleigh Ashford; Hank Azaria will step into the production from February 11 through 16.)
The $2,080,707 gross was the second biggest on Broadway last week, behind the massively popular Wicked ($2,319,735).
All In‘s haul certainly contributed to Broadway’s total weekly tally, which for the week ending February 2, was up 5% to $31,199,599, with attendance of 259,126 up about the same percentage.
While All In and Wicked were the only $2M+ grossers, shows making at least $1M were & Juliet, Aladdin, Death Becomes Her, Gypsy, Hamilton, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Hell’s Kitchen, MJ, Romeo + Juliet, Sunset Blvd., The Great Gatsby, The Lion King and The Outsiders.
Sell-Outs for the week were All In, Death Becomes Her, Romeo + Juliet, The Outsiders and Wicked, while the following productions filled 90% of seats or more: & Juliet, Aladdin, Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, Chicago, Cult of Love, English, Gypsy (99%), Hadestown (99%), Hamilton, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Hell’s Kitchen, Maybe Happy Ending (99%), MJ, Moulin Rouge, Oh, Mary!, Redwood, Sunset Blvd., The Book of Mormon, The Great Gatsby and The Lion King.
In previews was Redwood, the new musical starring Idina Menzel. With the cancelation of the Saturday matinee, the production pulled in $682,258 for six previews, with about 90% of seats filled at the Nederlander.
Also worth noting: Cabaret was down $91,608 (to $993,262) with Adam Lambert out sick most of the week. And Oh, Mary! was down about $112,730 to $813,272, and while the popular comedy is still filling about 96% of seats at the Lyceum, the departure of star-creator Cole Escola seems to have put a pause in the show’s run of sell-out weeks.
In their final weeks on Broadway, Cult of Love was up $112,079 to $572,008, and Left on Tenth was up $57,508 to $500,319.
Season to date, Broadway, in the 37th week of the 2024-25 season, has grossed $1,263,991,671 up about 18% over last year at this time, with total attendance of 9,881,774 up 16%.
The Broadway Week promotion runs through February 9.
