Earlier this week, Simpson told PEOPLE exclusively that she and her husband are separating after 10 years of marriage.
"Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage," Simpson said in a statement to PEOPLE. "Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family."
In June, Simpson shared an adorable photo on Instagram of her daughter Birdie as she modeled her mom's shoe line. Sitting on a green couch, Birdie looked like the spitting image of her mom as she wore her hair in loose curls, posing with one leg up to show off her gold sandals.
Birdie gave a big smile as her mom snapped her photo, placing a hand on the couch next to her. "Cutest girl in the cutest @jessicasimpsonstyle," Simpson proudly captioned the picture.
In April, Simpson shared some belated photos from her Easter celebrations with her family of five. The three siblings posed together in a number of pictures from the day shared on Instagram, looking all grown up as they enjoyed time together during the holiday.
The family opted for a cool, casual way of celebrating this year as they hunted for Easter eggs and opened the prizes inside of them. They also spent time with their extended family, making memories together.
"Belated 🐰🐰," Simpson captioned the shots.
