Jessica Alba isn't ruling out bringing back her Fantastic Four character.

Not long after her Fantastic Four castmate Chris Evans reprised his role of Johnny Storm/The Human Torch for a surprise cameo in the recently released Deadpool & Wolverine, the actress, 43, says she would be open to reprising her role of Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman.

"Yeah, of course. I loved playing that character," Alba — who recently helped Instagram launch its new Teen Accounts feature — tells PEOPLE exclusively of her role in 2005's Fantastic Four and 2007's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

"[I'd be open to] anything in the Marvel universe. I'm a fan of all the superhero stories, and it was a great time in my life," she adds. "So yeah, if they would have me, sure."

Alba starred opposite Evans, 43, as siblings in their two Fantastic Four films, alongside Ioan Gruffudd (Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic), Michael Chiklis (Ben Grimm/The Thing) and Julian McMahon (Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom).

Years later, in 2015, a Fantastic Four reboot was released with Kate Mara taking over Alba's role opposite Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell and Toby Kebbell.

Now, with the Fantastic Four characters a part of the MCU after Disney's acquisition of Fox Studios, Marvel plans to release a new take on the superhero foursome in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which is due to hit theaters in 2025.

Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will take over the main roles, while Robert Downey Jr. — who famously starred as Tony Stark/Iron Man in the MCU — will return to the franchise to portray Doctor Doom. He will then serve as the main antagonist of Avengers: Doomsday (2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (2027).

In Deadpool & Wolverine, Evans reprises his role of The Human Torch from the mid-2000s superhero films — and also has a hilarious post-credits scene.

The actor told PEOPLE in August that he had zero hesitation when he was asked to do a surprise cameo in the Marvel feature.

"It was a couple years ago and I got a text from Ryan [Reynolds], we're buddies," Evans explained. "He just said, 'Listen, if you don't like this idea, no worries whatsoever. But I have something that could really bring the house down and would let you play a character from your past.' "

Despite the fanfare surrounding the appearance, Alba tells PEOPLE that she hasn't tuned in to see Evans portray her superhero sibling onscreen. "Oh, I haven't seen it yet," she tells PEOPLE. "But that's so fun."

Deadpool & Wolverine will be available to stream soon.
