Jenny McCarthy confessed one particularly memorable moment while co-hosting The View.

McCarthy, 51, revealed to Kelly Ripa during the latter’s July 17 Let's Talk Off Camera podcast episode that she got her period during one taping of The View.

Ripa first asked McCarthy to speak about her time as a co-host on the popular daytime talk show and any unusual stories from her time on the series. McCarthy served as a co-host in 2013 and 2014 during season 17.

"I have some stories from there, and given, all of them turn funny," she began before detailing a time she was sitting on the light-colored couch and felt her period arrive. She explained that she and her co-hosts were interviewing someone, although she doesn’t recall who the guest was, and “all of a sudden [her] eyes go wide.”

“I just feel like this rush of a period, and when in your 40s, when you're perimenopausal, you bleed out. You basically hemorrhage, you know, your uterus falls out," she said. "I'm sorry. But it does."

Perimenopause, which occurs before women enter menopause, typically is "marked by changes in the menstrual cycle, along with other physical and emotional symptoms," according to Johns Hopkins Medicine. Additionally, “Heavy bleeding is common among women transitioning into menopause,” per WebMD.

McCarthy recalled that because she was “wearing a freaking dress,” she began crossing her legs harder to prevent the menstrual blood flowing down her legs on TV.

“So I wrap up the interview kind of early and everybody gets up except for me. And I just sit there,” she told Ripa. “I just sit there.”

“So now everybody's doing something else, gone, and I'm sitting by myself. And I'm like trying to talk to someone. But I didn't wanna say over the microphone, ‘I got my period. Please help me.’ ”

Eventually, someone did come over, and she explained the situation to them, but the person replied, ‘It's gonna be fine, just get up and run.’ “ But McCarthy retorted, “‘No, you don't understand perimenopausal periods. This is going to be a disaster. You have to push me out with the couch.' ”

The Masked Singer judge did eventually “glide past everybody” to return backstage. But once there, she revealed the crew and cast could see the blood and “were all horrified.”

“Talk about a scary movie,” Ripa joked. “You've been through the craziest s—."
