Jennifer Lopez Went Rodeo Chic in This Royal-Approved Winter Trend
Yeehaw...but in a chic, royal way.
Jennifer Lopez has been spending the holidays in Aspen skiing with her daughter, sister, and niece. Naturally, the trip has featured a series of thematic après-ski looks including a patterned shawl collar sweater paired with Uggs and a truly giant puffy white coat. With her latest look, however, the actress has strayed from her ski-chic attire in favor of something a little less northern and a little more western—because her latest look was less après-ski and more après-rodeo.
While out and about in the Colorado city yesterday, Lopez swapped her warm coat for a dark blue barn jacket and traded in her cozy tuque for a bold cowboy hat. The beige hat, which covered her long straight hair, featured a thin brown leather detail and a white feather on one side. She completed the look with a cozy white turtleneck, a pair of ultra baggy blue jeans, and brown suede snow boots—with a platform sole, of course.
The star of the outfit was her dark blue barn jacket. A favorite style of the likes of Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana, the barn jacket is a classic, royal-approved silhouette that has been experiencing a resurgence since Prada's spring/summer 2024 runway show. Evidently, J.Lo also approves.
Lopez's Aspen trip comes after she announced her divorce from Ben Affleck earlier this year. Although it was what one source called a "rough year", Lopez and Affleck are reportedly still "connected" and even exchanged Christmas gifts earlier this month.
Lopez has also had a busy winter thanks to her film Unstoppable, in which she plays the mother of a real-life boxer who competed with one leg. Affleck served as a producer on the film and, although he didn't join Lopez for the press tour, he said her performance was "spectacular".
