Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Still Have "a Lot of Love" For Each Other

The two were recently spotted at lunch with their kids.

Although Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are still moving forward with their divorce, there is reportedly no bad blood between the two. In fact, they hope to keep things "friendly" during the process.

A source told People that as they proceed with the divorce, they "continue to focus on the kids." Affleck has three kids Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, and Lopez shares twins Emme and Max with ex Marc Anthony.

"They want to show the kids that things are amicable," the insider said. "They want to stay friendly. There’s still a lot of love."

Last week, Lopez and Affleck showed off their friendliness with a family lunch at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The two were joined by their kids and were spotted being affectionate during the outing. “Ben and JLo are currently at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel holding hands and kissing," a witness told Page Six. "The kids are with them, but at a separate table.”

In photos captured outside of the hotel, Lopez and Affleck could be seen standing by a black SUV as their kids got out of the car. Lopez wore a black cropped turtleneck styled with high-waisted jeans, and Affleck paired a blue button-up with denim and Nike sneakers. The lunch marked Affleck and Lopez's first joint outing since Lopez filed for divorce on August 20.

Despite the reported PDA, "they are still moving forward with the divorce though," a source told People. "They are working out financial details amicably,”

The insider added that the reunion was for the sake of the kids. "They all came together for a fun lunch so the kids could hang out," they said. "[Jennifer's] trying to be friendly with Ben.”

Since “the kids always got along and have fun together," Lopez wants to stay amicable so they can remain friends. "A divorce is never easy, but Jennifer doesn't want to be selfish about it,” they added. "It makes her happy seeing the kids happy together. Happy kids are her priority."
