Jennifer Coolidge makes massive Aussie announcement: 'Excited'
The White Lotus star is heading to Sydney.
Hollywood legend Jennifer Coolidge has sent Aussie fans into a frenzy with a massive announcement. The White Lotus star, 61, is coming to Australia to headline Vivid Sydney 2023.
She will be joined by The White Lotus creator Mike White, with the pair set to discuss their careers for a riveting In Conversation event. The Legally Blonde star made the big reveal by sharing a short video on Instagram and TikTok.
“Hey Australia, it’s Jennifer Coolidge and I’ve got really exciting news. Mike White and I are coming to Vivid Sydney on June 10th. We’ll see you there!” she exclaimed.
In the caption, she called Sydney “spectacular” and urged fans to grab tickets from the Vivid Sydney website.
The White Lotus has been critically acclaimed, with Jennifer snagging an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2022 as well as a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in 2023.

Her big reveal also sent The White Lotus fans into a spin, with Aussie fans wondering if the pair could be ‘location scouting’ for a future season of the show. The show revolves around the hotel chain White Lotus, with the first season taking place in Hawaii, and the second in Sicily.
It’s rumoured that the third season will take place in Thailand, with the cast yet to be announced.
While the American Pie actress has an impressive career that spans 30 years, her role as Tanya McQuoid in the HBO series pushed her back into the spotlight.
The comedic actor is TIME100’s latest cover star, being celebrated as one of the World’s Most Influential People this year.
‘Biggest announcement in its 13-year history’
Vivid Sydney is an annual festival that completely transforms the city over 23 days and nights. It’s most famous for its stunning outdoor light projections, but also holds a range of music performances and talks.
While the event has previously attracted high-profile talent such as Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrmann, this year’s headliner has been touted as the ‘biggest announcement’ yet.

In a statement, Vivid Sydney Festival Director Gill Minervirni said: “We’re thrilled to share that The White Lotus creator, Mike White, and star of the series, Jennifer Coolidge, will join this year’s Vivid Sydney line-up. Securing these huge megastars cements Vivid Sydney 2023 as the biggest and most culturally relevant program yet.”
“This exclusive event will allow audiences to see behind the curtain on what has become a massive cultural zeitgeist and hear from two of the hottest figures in the creative industries now,” she added.
Mike White & Jennifer Coolidge in Conversation will be hosted at the Aware Super Theatre, ICC Sydney, Darling Harbour, on Saturday 10 June from 7.30 pm to 8.45 pm. Tickets are available here.
