In a sweet video posted by the NBC morning show on Feb. 25, Bush Hager gushed about Guthrie’s daughter, 10-year-old Vale, revealing that she’s Vale’s godmother.

It started when Guthrie, who is promoting her new children’s book Mostly What God Does Is Love You, was interviewed by Vale for a segment on Today.

“I know, look at you crying! You’re going to make me cry,” Guthrie responded.

“I know. But I’m so proud of her because, you know, everything you’ve given to them, all of your faith that you pass down so gently without preaching, without demanding, are in those little kids. And when the world feels dark, that is hope!” gushed Bush Hager.

Later in the episode, Guthrie spoke about her book during the Jenna & Friends segment, where Bush revealed to her guest co-host, comedian Heather McMahan, that “Savannah is my son Hal Hager’s godmother.”

The two television presenters have documented their close friendship and relationship with each other’s children on social media, sharing photos from fun events like last year’s White House holiday press party, where they were also joined by Today’s Sheinelle Jones and her family, and at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, where Hoda Kotb and her kids took in the concert with them.
