Jelly Roll and wife Bunnie Xo celebrated Thanksgiving the best way they know how: by turning it into a party!
Bunnie opened up about their fun holiday on a new episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, and revealed that there was singing, dancing and some pumpkin pie-flavored Jell-O shots.
Though it remains unclear just when the couple hosted Thanksgiving, as Bunnie, 44, said they had to “push it back this year” because Jelly was performing in Texas on the actual holiday, the pair hosted between 50 and 60 people.
“I was having fun, man. Thanksgiving is our time to let loose! We did another annual DeFord Thanksgiving last night, and the house was full,” she said. “I love doing the DeFord family Thanksgiving because it’s really been a tradition that we started and [daughter] Bailee looks forward to it every year.”
Jelly, 40, performed with Lainey Wilson on Thanksgiving Day at the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys game in Texas. He made a surprise appearance with the country star to sing their duet “Save Me" at halftime.

Bunnie’s co-hosts for the episode, Meme Shahan and Hailee Clark, said the star did “a lot of karaoke,” and “screamed and shook your ass all Thanksgiving,” though Bunnie clarified she only joined in on the karaoke “from afar.”
At one point, the night took a rap-inspired turn, with Bailee, 16, putting on some Kendrick Lamar and Young Dolph (Jelly is also dad to son Noah, 8, from a previous relationship).
“I was like, ‘That’s my girl!’ I was like, ‘Go baby, go!’” Bunnie recalled. “She’s Baby Roll. She’s little baby Roll.”
Clark and Shahan also revealed that Bunnie made pumpkin pie-flavored Jell-O shots to keep the party going.
Bunnie said the night was so fun that guests largely stayed off their phones, something she appreciated as it kept everyone in the moment.
“Nobody took out their phone last night to do a TikTok. Not one person tried to take advantage of the moment. Nobody selfied it up. Everybody just had fun,” she said. “I still haven’t even posted about Thanksgiving. That’s so unlike me. We did live in the moment, and I think what’s happening also is that we’re starting to cherish our private moments because we don’t get a lot of them.”
She continued, “We share so much of ourselves with everybody that it’s like, when we do get those private moments, it’s just like, ‘Oh, this is beautiful.’”
Jelly wrapped up his Beautifully Broken tour just days before Thanksgiving after 13 weeks and 58 arena shows.
“I’m just so grateful, man,” he said in an Instagram video. “I never dreamed this is how this would shake out.”
The star — who put out a music video for his new song “Run It,” off the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 soundtrack, on Tuesday, Dec. 3 — added that he would be taking a break from social media post-tour.
“It’s been a crazy couple of years,” he said. “I’m throwing this phone out the window tonight. I’m gonna go phoneless for a few months… Thank y’all for making this the most incredible year I could’ve asked for."
