'I've never had surgery' Jack Vidgen explains transformation
Jack Vidgen is not the wide-eyed kid with the angelic voice anymore. Eight years after winning Australia’s Got Talent, the singer is all grown up, but his upcoming appearance on The Voice has viewers questioning just how different he looks.
Now, the 22-year-old has come out to say his lip fillers are throwing people off, and despite speculation to the contrary, he actually hasn’t had any surgery.
“I've never had plastic surgery or any surgery,” he tells the Daily Telegraph, adding, “It's pretty obvious I've had my lips done with fillers”.
“These types of things [fillers] are common now, especially for people my age - it's not a big deal”.
He also puts a lot of the change down to puberty, after all, he was just 14 and very much a child when he won AGT back in 2011.
In 2017, Jack toed the same line after being questioned about his appearance, tweeting, “Omg have people heard of a thing called puberty?”
His mother also reportedly shut down cosmetic surgery rumours, writing on Facebook, “Jack has never had even one cosmetic surgery procedure.. he has gone from a little boy to a man.. his looks changed because he grew up! [sic]”.
Since his reality TV debut, Jack has taken a step back from the spotlight, instead focusing on growing up like a normal teenager.
Now 22, he’s back for a second chance at a music career, along with an all-grown-up transformation.
“ANNOUNCING: @jack.vidgen is coming to The Blinds to remind Australia what he’s made of,” read a recent post on the official The Voice Australia Instagram page.
He’ll be joined by a number of ‘all-stars’ including Australian Idol’s Lee Harding.
