Yahoo Lifestyle J.Lo Takes Method Dressing to New Levels With Naked Spiderweb Dress
Jennifer Lopez is at the Sundance Film Festival and we’re here to discuss her look. Specifically, the incredible dress she wore to the premiere of her movie Kiss of the Spider Woman, which takes method dressing to new levels. I mean, just look at J.Lo’s transparent lace gown, which you’ll noticed is covered in a glittering crystal web.
She’s never looked better or more spidery.
Meanwhile, earlier in the festival, J.Lo showed up dressed in head-to-toe black leather, complete with a cape and newsboy cap. Kinda like if the costume designer from The Matrix collaborated with the costume designers from Batman and Newsies (positive).
Genuinely couldn’t be more obsessed with what’s happening here.
Anyway, Jennifer gushed about the experience filming Kiss of the Spider Woman to Variety, saying, “I was waiting my whole life to be able to do a real big MGM Hollywood musical, and I finally got to do it. It was more [than I hoped]. Me and Diego [Luna] were on set and we’re dancing around and we’re singing and looking at each other and it’s like we don’t want to do anything else but musicals. Diego said that! Me too. I don’t want to do anything else.”
She added, “It’s about two different people who come together and find the humanity in one another and fall in love. To me, that is something that is special and needs to be seen. We are all just human. It’s an important movie in this way.”
Oh, and J.Lo also addressed future Oscar buzz, saying that while she didn’t “even want to begin the conversation,” she’d “love it to get the recognition that I believe it deserves.”
