Major sign of huge rift between Ivanka and Melania
They may be the beautiful, recognisable female faces of the Trump family brand, but it seems First Lady Melania Trump and her stepdaughter Ivanka would rather keep those faces as far away from one another as possible.
In the final days of the tumultuous Trump presidency, insiders claim Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner’s relationship with Melania has been left in tatters – and there’s one telling sign that those whispers might be fact.
A CNN reports claims that insiders say where Melania and Ivanka once had mutual respect for each other’s ‘turf’ they can now barely stand to be in the same room.
A source reportedly told the publication that Ivanka’s political forays strayed too far into Melania’s territory for the First Lady’s liking, the proof being in the absence of photos of the duo together.

A quick glance through snaps of the eldest Trump and Melania seems to confirm this point. Over the years the ladies progressively move further apart from one another until they cease being photographed in the same frame at all.
With the exception of the presidential debate and the Republican National convention in August, the duo hasn’t been photographed together once in 2020, and even at these events they could not have been positioned further away from one another.
Where once they stood shoulder to shoulder, Ivanka’s husband Jared on the outside, the order has notably changed, with the two women now always separated by one of their husbands.
In photos of the wider family in the past year, the two ladies are even further apart, with Ivanka separated from the presidential couple by a sibling or two and sometimes her husband.
In this photo of the Trump family at the Republican Convention, Ivanka is almost at the tail end of the group, and couldn’t be further from her stepmother, despite her well-known status as Trump’s favoured child and her role as his senior political advisor.
This is in contrast to similar group shots from just a few years back when the two women were always placed side by side, such as in 2017 when the duo was shoulder to shoulder during the Administration’s 2017 visit to Pope Francis at the Vatican.
During the Presidential debate, the two ladies were directly seated beside each other though with social distancing measures, it wasn’t quite the cosied up snaps from back in 2016 and 2017 when the two ladies were photographed interacting and side by side.
Where they once flanked Vice President Mike Pence in August 2017, by December 2019 he and wife were wedged between the pair.
Though photos can only say so much, the observation comes on the back of CNN reporting the duo’s relationship is so strained that they spent Thanksgiving apart. Then, Ivanka and Jared Kushner didn’t visit Mar a Lago, President Trump’s private club in Palm Beach, at all over Christmas.
It comes as President Trump’s presidency comes to an explosive close, after riots at the Capitol during the count of the Electoral College votes, and the second impeachment of the business mogul over his role in inciting the riot.
Formerly glamorous couple Jared and Ivanka are reportedly being socially snubbed over their role in the administration, and face an uncertain future.
Meanwhile, Melania was reportedly forced to pack up the White House in secret while her husband continued to contest the election with zero legal standing.
