Isabella Strahan Reflects on Life Before Brain Tumor Diagnosis: 'Was a Great Year Til It Wasn't'

Isabella Strahan is reflecting on her life before she was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

On August 10, the 19-year-old daughter of Michael Strahan posted a TikTok video documenting how much she was enjoying her year before learning she had a large medulloblastoma — a type of malignant tumor — in October 2023.

“What are you thinking about?” text over the clip read.

“2023 life before getting sick,” she wrote before the clip shows her all smiles while doing fun activities like visiting the beach, working out, going to NFL games, riding a mechanical bull and taking her dog for a walk.

“Was a great year till it wasn’t,” the model added in the caption.

In the comments section, Isabella received numerous encouraging messages from her followers.

“So much life after this chapter closes ❤️u can do this all again and BETTER!!!! love u,” one person wrote while another commented, “You’ll get there again. God has a plan for you ❤️”

After receiving her brain cancer diagnosis, Isabella underwent treatment at the Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center in Durham, North Carolina, documenting her journey on her YouTube series.

She completed six weeks of radiation, four rounds of chemotherapy and three brain surgeries. In the July 18 installment of her YouTube vlog, the model shared that she is officially cancer-free.

At the time, Isabella celebrated the milestone on Instagram, sharing photos of her cancer journey, including the moment she rang the hospital bell after finishing chemotherapy.

“After the wildest 8 months, I finally got to ring the bell. Grateful for my journey 🩶” she wrote.

Strahan also praised his daughter for making it through a difficult health journey.
